Film: Colombiana

I rarely frequent the movie theatre, as my inability to sit still for more than 26 seconds usually inhibits me from doing so. However, every blue moon some action-packed blockbuster hits the screen, and forces me out of whatever igneous habitat I’ve been residing under. So after weeks of seeing trailers of the exotic Zoe Saldana dominate commercial slots, I trotted into the local Harkins Theatres to observe what the hype was about.

At the conclusion of the show, roughly two hours had elapsed and I hadn’t even noticed. The film although slightly predictable at times kept me thoroughly engaged. For the majority of the film, I was actually on the edge of my seat. And especially, but not limited to a riveting fight scene between Zoe Saldana and Jordi Molla. It was one of the most intense scenes I had observed in quite some time.

I actively avoid giving away plots or “summaries” to films for several reasons, but I do strongly urge any film or action junkie to go see this film. The bang is worth the buck!
