When former University of Florida head football coach, Urban Meyer, announced his retire last season, I declared that without a doubt he would one day coach again. Though my belief was bold. Not only did I believe that Meyer would again coach, but that he would be the head man at The Ohio State University. It just made sense.

An Ohio native, Meyer, has always made his admiration for the institution known. I mean, the man has a Woody Hayes oil painting front-and-center in his personal home office. So once ex-Buckeye coach, Jim Tressel, resigned earlier this year, I knew it was just a matter of time.

With the 2011 season coming to a close there is word spreading through Columbus and beyond. The writing is on the wall. Without question, Urban Meyer will be the next Ohio State Buckeyes head football coach.
