After the all the buildup it finally came — and went. August 29th. The much anticipated, and apologized for album release of 2011. Following several postponed released dates, Lil Wayne, the self-proclaimed “Best Rapper Alive“, has finally dropped his latest project. Tha Carter IV.
I often listen to a project and provide my feedback on it, as do millions of other music adorners. Although I attempt to stop just shy of discouraging one to actually go out and buy an album. This album is no different. And seeing as how current sales projections are currently between 850,000 and 900,000 in its first week, it would seem that I am not alone in that idea. Amazingly, if those projections are accurate, it would be the highest sales [in a week] for a rap album since Lil Wayne’s previous album, Tha Carter III.
Featuring hits that preceded its release, such as: “How To Love“, “6 Foot 7 Foot“, and “John” featuring Rick Ross, the album is a must have and looks to bring home a variety of awards hardware!
